A Very Merry Un-Birthday To Me!

Good evening fellow web browsers, bored humans, and people of the world. I am currently going on hour eleven of a twelve hour shift. Yet, I’m thankful that I get to spend the entire Holiday weekend, Thursday through Sunday, relaxing with family! Even if that means making up a bunch of hours in the meantime. I. Can. Do. It.
My week was chaotic and my weekend was lazy! And somehow in the midst of all the laziness I forgot to sum up the busy week over here at my favorite blog! My sister turned 21, so obviously we celebrated with pizza, a peanut butter cup pie, and sparkling grape juice…cause that’s how this official adult parties. And just a short 48 hours later, I celebrated my 23rd birthday, with friends, family, fiancé, and free pie. Really it can’t get much better! Every Wednesday Village Inn has free pie with any purchase, and all the poor college students, or still pretending to be poor adults go and pretend they have no money and get free pie and a cup of coffee. I’ll not admit to which group I am apart of. But I don’t go to school…so that should help you.
I then spent a lovely three day weekend enjoying blissful quietness of nothing to do, which was entirely wonderful! Then I remembered that I get married in 50 days! So I proceeded to start hand stitching 240 handwarmers for wedding favors. I realize that you probably think I’m crazy, and truly I am. I’ll admit to it readily. Yet, I love a good project, and I have a whole 50 days to make these things! Even if I still need to make the other 240 to complete the pair…lol.
The lovely fiancé in my life made a mad ten hour dash to see his family in his hometown of Cheeseville, WI (That’s not really real, I just made that up for the privacy of my new loved ones 😉 ), and then proceeded to make the long trip back, where I was practicing (and pretending) being a good little wife, with his house clean, dinner ready to be eaten, and music playing! And that brings us to today. And what a merry day it is. I’m thinking about the things I’m thankful for, while being very excited to spend the weekend with my family of 30+. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, in-laws, outlaws and grandparents! We will scarf down American sized portions of food, pretend to watch football while sleeping off said food, and then start all over again that evening! Because there is nothing Grandma hates more than having enough leftovers to feed an army after well all leave.
On that note, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, being thankful for all the leftovers we can consume, and the family we can consume it with.

: Every year for my birthday, I do what’s called a “Me at…”shoot. So this is Me At 19, Me At 20, Me At 21, and Me At 22 (starting at top left)

: This is the way my brain operates. I’d like to say my complexities make it a sign of genious, but it’s most likely just insanity.

: Referring back to the insanity thing…who buys sandals when there is snow out? Well…I do. And they were on clearance.

: This isn’t exactly what you want to see while stuck at work…

: Because I am a frugal tight wad, I will make these little bags myself…all 250 of them. And it will cost me $4 vs the $50.

: It’s snowing. I’m working. But I’m bored. And my fiance missed my face. So this is what you get. I truly thought waking up that morning that no one would see me…but here I am…broadcasting it everywhere. lol.

: We are truly the cutest couple! I’m biased, I know. But he always makes me laugh, and I love it.

: This was actually going to my fiance. We’re always debating the issue of “At what point should you dim your lights while driving? And when you’re driving in a four lane HWY, separated by a median”…I think it’s not always necessary…lol

: This is truly our life! We just got our engagement pictures back, so you’ll see more of them in the future.

: Really, I know you could care less about these selfies…but this one has me boggled. My earbud cord is white…but appears purple…so odd.

: This was my way of keeping my sister OUT of the fridge so she wouldn’t see her surprise birthday pie!

: Peak. That’s really all I have to say. My fiance got me hooked. And I can’t stop.

: On my birthday, I received my fiance’s birthday present, I’m two months early, and proud of it!

: My co-workers love me. Really they do!

: My twelve year old brother has an extreme fascination not with getting a new brother…but with becoming an uncle.

: My grandpa randomly called to inform me that I made the wall gallery at church. I’m quite famous now. Truly I am.

: Whoa. Somebody threw it way back this week by posting this on Facebook. Circa: ancient.

: I’ve become quite fond of the chiropractor’s office. Mostly because I have to go every week to get this whining complaining neck disciplined.

: The invites are being delivered! And the RSVP’s are coming in! This is one of my lovely bridesmaids sporting her invitation to the ball!

: I’m a car stalker. And I LOVE a good vintage quirky car. I have no clue what it was, but it was beautiful. This was also taken before said car stalled in the middle of 5:00 traffic.

: The wedding presents begin, and my new last name will be seen everywhere, for a while :D.

: My friends are wonderful and they throw wonderful parties for me when I age.

: Teeny, tiny handwarmers! Wedding time here we come!

: I keep trying my hand at easy food that can be frozen, and still be homemade. This time it was baby chicken pot pies.

: I was feelin artsy.

: So glad to be back with my church family! Between working, and attending church with my fiance, my home church has fallen through the cracks.

: Sunday afternoon buffet with the grandpa. It was wonderful :).

: All you have to say is, “Wow! What big eyes you have!”

: It was a foggy day. But not in London Town.

: I’m sure I have alread mentioned my attraction to coffee mugs. Do they have an intervention program for this?

If I were an extremely creative type, who had all of life together, I would tell you that on this cold blustery morning, where snow is threatening the world, I am snuggled up under a cozy blanket, drinking coffee, and reading my favorite book, while occasionally day dreaming out the window and listening to the Christmas tunes weaving through the room. I, however, am not. I can paint a good picture, but I am in fact sitting on a yoga ball, in a cubicle, answering my phone when it rings, wearing my favorite tye dye hoodie (because it’s Saturday, and no one cares if you look business professional on Saturday), and drinking my coffee from a Contigo cup, so that if I dump my cup, I won’t fry my keyboard! 🙂

This week I have mastered a few wonderful things wedding wise, I got 100 invitations sent out, and I licked every single one…so just know that when you received your invite, you also received a little piece of me :D, lol.

I am rather challenged in the car department, rather, I am challenged in operating and caring for said car. I have a lovely car this winter, in comparison to the Lincoln Town Car I sported last winter, and I’m actually excited to test it out on the snow! Of course with snow comes cold weather…and with cold weather comes low tires. I couldn’t refill one tire because the last person to do anything with it put the cover right over my air fill nozzle, I obviously don’t keep anything on hand to pull out the lug nuts and take the blasted cover off…so after dragging it to my grandpa’s I was informed that they were fake screws and the whole cover was plastic :D. It was quite a riot. I could have fixed it all by myself.

So yes. That’s pretty well my week in a nutshell! It’s a lovely life :).

: The completed invitation! Winter wedding, here we come!

: After about 100 invites, I ran out of paint, and being that my memory isn’t what is was 5 years ago (when I was like 18…lol), I take pictures to help me remember ;).

: You would think that one charge cord would be enough, but it definitely wasn’t, so here’s to never having a low battery again with six new beautiful cords!

: My fiance got me stuck on these brain games (Peak), and now we are always sending our scores to eachother 😀

: Sometimes for my lunch break at work, I just go to Aldi’s, buy random stuff, and picnic it up in my car :).

: A friend was trying to convince me that my fiance and I need a puppy! It almost worked, but neither of us are home enough to really care for the little cutie…but soon!

: My mom has a fun little marriage blog, and she is starting a new graphic series called “Dear Husband”, even though Nate and I aren’t married, I still sent it to him :). (www.blog.wonwithoutwords.com)

: I was drawing out prototypes and patterns for little paper bags I’m making for the wedding. And I also needed a 10MM socket wrench to fix my sisters car…but they don’t sell wrench’s stand alone, so I dealt with pliers :).

: Now I’m putting my prototype into action for the paper bags! They’ll be cute :D.

: Errands are the life! All my aunts are having babies and shower gifts are the thing of life :). Babies R Us and I will be great friends through this season.

: A sample of what the bridesmaids will wear for the wedding, just trying to keep everyone up to date.

: I love to take notes, I also love to lose notes…so I figure if I take a picture on my phone, my chances of losing them are a little smaller :).

: Tis the season for pomegranates! And my stomach are heart are so happy!

: With a wedding, comes lots of sewing :).

: All the garters online were like $15…so I just made my own :).

: And it only cost about $4 for this one!

: I found a memory card in my backpack, a card I thought I had lost a year ago, and this stunning image was on it! Sometimes I take great photos ;).

: When I build a house I want a floor like this!

: It’s for real! I have sent the invitations! And will be enjoying married bliss after January 10th :).

Here is the first of many typed words (hopefully! :D). I feel like I’m just following the crowd. Everyone blogs, write? 😉 (pun kind of intended)

Yet I’ve decided my main reason for this blog, that will most likely get lost in the sea we call Internet, is so I can document my life. I’m dreadfully afraid of forgetting everything in life. And I would really rather not! As Louis Carroll said in his famous book, Alice in Wonderland, “but it’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”

If I’m going to be different tomorrow, I’d rather not forget today!

Since I speak best with random ramblings and photos, I’m just going to start by summing up my week based off of the photos on my phone. Uncensored life. Life as it is for me. My life. My lovely, lovely life.

: My cute little fiance after his first half marathon! 11/2

: Nate and I got a peek at our engagment shots, and they are adorable! My splendid cousin took them and blew me away!

: When your Dad sends you random presents, but send them to your sister’s work place for safety of said package…she sends you pictures like this…to torment you.

: I have a secret love afair with Sharpie pens. Any writing experience without them is kind of useless.

: My life involves endless excitement as I plan a wedding to a wonderful man. This excitement just happens to be addressing my envelopes ;).

: And then I finally got home from work! And I got to open said package that my sister tormented me with.

: I clearly have the most fantastic Dad in the world. He knew I was experiencing troubles with my current laptop, and decided to bless me with this wonderful, fantastic gift.

: It was raining. And I figured my fiance needed to know.

: And then I parked under a light post. Not realizing it was a bird perch in disguise. I told you, this is my uncensored life :D.

: Now that it’s fall, and getting cold, I can wear my favorite coat. I really don’t care for winter…but at least I have nice coats to make it more burrrrable.

: I was selected to illustrate fall on our work calender…I’m not an artist, so please don’t think I am trying to brag…but it was on my phone…and now it’s on your computer screen :).

: And this sums up my week! 😀 My dear sweet fiance is planning our honeymoon…In addition, I get two pieces of information, I need a passport and I need to pack a bag for warm weather, and a bag for cold weather. He’ll grab the one I need, and then we’ll be off to celebrate marriage! I’ve done part of my part and applied for my first passport today! Did you know, they don’t want you to smile? They think they won’t recognize me….but I’m always smiling…so a smile probably would have helped them more.
